The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted five police officers in recognition of their role in the arrest of suspects linked to a robbery at a GOIL Filling Station in Kwafokrom, near Nsawam in Ghana’s Eastern Region.
The officers include Chief Inspectors Eric Otoo and Emmanuel Otu, General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong.
As part of the recognition, the two Chief Inspectors have been granted direct admission into the Police Academy. The remaining three officers have also been elevated to their next ranks for their performance in the operation.
They were commended for their professionalism and quick response, which led to the successful arrest of two suspects connected to the robbery incident.
The Police Management Board (POMAB) also praised the officers and reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to fighting violent crime and ensuring public safety across the country.
