    Kuami Eugene beats Sarkodie, others to win Artiste of the Year at 2020 VGMA

    Ghanaian highlife artiste, Kuami Eugene has been adjudged Artiste of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

    He beat off competition from Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Diana Hamilton and Medikal to win the award.

    Kuami Eugene also won the Highlife Artiste of the Year award.

    The second part of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was held last night after 13 awards were presented on August 28, 2020, at the first ceremony.

    In all thirty (30) awards were presented at two (2) separate events.

    Hiphop Song of the Year – Don’t Be Late (Kofi Mole)

    Hiplife Song of the Year – Omo Ada (Medikal)

    Afrobeat Song of the Year – Zanku (DopeNation)

    Gospel Artiste of the Year – Diana Hamilton

    Highlife Artiste of the Year – Kuami Eugene

    Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year – Medikal

    Reggae/Dancehall Artiste – Ras Kuuku

    Rapper of the Year – Kwesi Arthur

    Best Collaboration – Oofeestor (Sarkodie)

    Best New Artiste of Year – Fameye

    Album of the Year – Sugar (Kidi)

    Vodafone Most Popular Song – Things Fall Apart

    Artiste for Development – Gasmilla

    Traditional Artiste – Tesa Cultural Troupe

    Instrumentalist – Emmanuel Bludo

    Best Male Vocalist – MOG

    Female Vocalist – Celestine Donkor

    Songwriter of the Year – Kofi Kinaata
