    Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, Kofi Kinaata and others to perform at VGMA ‘Heroes Concert’

    Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), is all set to organise a virtual concert dubbed, ‘Heroes Concert’ on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

    The move is aimed at showing appreciation to frontline health workers who have been helping in the COVID-19 pandemic fight.

    The show is also meant to inspire hope and to lend a voice to the ‘Wear A Mask’ campaign being spearheaded by the VGMA Foundation.

    The concert has been planned to take place between 9:30 pm and 11:00 pm and would be showed on various online platforms and on TV3.

    A video posted on Facebook on Thursday [May 14, 2020], mentioned some of the artistes to perform as Kofi Kinaata, Efya, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor, Joe Mettle, Kwesi Arthur, Adina, Akwaboah, Cindy Thompson, Amandzeba among others.

    “Music is a force for good and on Sunday 17th May, the Ghana Music Awards Foundation will use music to rally national applause for our Covid-19 HEROES; the frontline health workers.“

    “The program is also meant to inspire hope and to lend a voice to the ‘Wear A Mask’ and Anti- stigmatization Campaigns.”

    “The VGMA Covid-19 Heroes Concert is slated for Sunday 17th May 2020 live on TV3, and on social media from 9:30 pm to 11 pm. #Covid-19 #MaskupGh #notostigmatization,” Charterhouse wrote on Facebook.
