The Accra Golden Lions Club and Accra Labone Leo Club of Lions International, District 418, Ghana, have provided breakfast to underprivileged children across Accra to support their well-being.
The outreach, dubbed “Everybody Go Chop Breakfast,” commenced at 0830 hours from the Total Filling Station near the 37 Military Hospital, passing through Spanner Junction and the Accra Mall, distributing breakfast to children in need.

Mr. Sampson Wolanyo Deklu, President of the Accra Golden Lions Club, said the initiative addressed one of their key focus areas: Hunger. He noted that the effort aimed to provide nutritious breakfast to 200 street children as part of their commitment to fighting hunger and raising awareness about the need to support underprivileged individuals.

“By tackling hunger at this grassroots level, we also aim to foster a culture of empathy and shared responsibility,” he added. Mr. Deklu reaffirmed the mission of the Lions and Leo Clubs to serve and make meaningful contributions to society.

He emphasised that such initiatives aligned with their broader goals, including combating childhood cancer, diabetes, and vision impairment. Mr. Deklu urged the public to support efforts to uplift vulnerable children.“Together, we can create a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive community,” he stressed.
