Andre Ayew’s brilliant brace gave the Black Stars a 2-0 win

Andre Ayew’s brilliant brace gave the Black Stars a 2-0 win over Sudan on Thursday in their AFCON 2021 qualifier.

The captain Andre Ayew led by example as he scored in both halves as the black stars beat Sudan at the Cape Coast stadium.

Ayew opened the scoring with a superb first-half free-kick and put the game out of reach for the Sudanese with a great solo goal with nine minutes to play in the second half.

The win takes the Stars to nine points, three clear of their opponents South Africa, who face Sao Tome on Friday.

The match was C.K Akonnor’s first competitive game in charge of the Black Stars.

Following some controversy over his team selections as some key players were left out, he managed to put a team that delivered for him. Sudan will host the black stars in Khartoum on Tuesday in the reverse fixture.
