The Anglican Men’s Fellowship has concluded its 7th Quadrennial National Delegates’ Conference in Tamale.

The four-day event, held under the theme “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many,” focused on renewing the fellowship’s commitment to service, unity, and leadership within the Anglican Church.

Delivering an address, the Most Reverend Dr Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Archbishop of the Internal Province of Ghana and Bishop of Mampong, described the gathering as a crucial moment for reflection and renewal. He urged members to strengthen family values and actively engage the youth in church life, stressing that fathers play a vital role in shaping responsible families and communities.

Dr Ben-Smith also lauded Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu for advocating moral and ethical education in schools and disclosed that discussions were underway to establish an Archbishop Act by 2030 to enhance church governance.

The Northern Regional Minister, Mr Ali Adolf John, commended the Anglican Church for its contributions to education, health, and social development. He praised the Men’s Fellowship for nurturing discipline, unity, and responsible citizenship, adding that “Ghana needs men who serve not for recognition, but for transformation.”

He further urged participants to promote environmental stewardship, peace, and moral integrity while mentoring the youth against drug abuse and social vices.

The conference concluded with the election of W/Bro Kenneth Oscar Ghartey (Accra Diocese) as National President. Other officers elected included W/Bro Cedrick Nana Deeku (Vice President), W/Bro Emmanuel Tia (General Secretary), W/Bro Jerry Aikins (Deputy General Secretary), and W/Bro Francis Amponsah Aikins (Treasurer).
