Director of Veterinary Services, Dr Patrick Abakah announced the imposition of a total ban on the importation of poultry and poultry products from neighboring countries where the disease is.

A ban was also subsequently placed on the movement of poultry and poultry products within and from the affected regions and districts within the country.
