Elisha Owusu, Black Stars midfielder, has expressed satisfaction with the state of the Accra Sports Stadium pitch.

The Black Stars of Ghana would meet the Falcons of Sudan in a crucial Group F match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Prior to the match, concerns have been expressed about the pitch’s condition following its recent ratification by the Confederation of African Football.
Auxerre midfielder Owusu, who talked to the media following the team’s first training session in Accra, expressed satisfaction with the pitch’s condition.

“The pitch was quite good, and we had amazing training today. We are happy that everything has been done to aid our preparations, and so it is on us to give our best performance,” he said.

Owusu said the team was aware of the situation they find themselves in the group following their last two unfavourable results against Angola and Niger.

The Black Stars of Ghana would be seeking their first win in the group against a Sudanese side, which is being managed by former Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah.
