    COVID-19: 143 new cases recorded in Ghana, active case count now 831

    Ghana’s COVID-19 active case count has increased to 831 after 143 new cases were recorded.

    The Ghana Health Service’s latest update indicates that 42,898 persons out of a cumulative total of 45,012 have recovered from the illness.

    Of the cumulative total of infected persons, 17,805 were detected through routine surveillance and 27,207 were detected through enhanced contact tracing while a total of 283 persons have died.

    Meanwhile, a total of 16 persons have severe cases of Coronavirus while six (three on ventilators) are said to be in critical condition.

    The country has also conducted a total of 448,820 Coronavirus tests since the first case was recorded in March 2020.

    • Eastern Region – 2,375
    • Central Region – 1,898
    • Bono East Region – 777
    • Volta Region – 668
    • Western North Region – 638
    • Northern Region – 528
    • Ahafo Region – 524
    • Bono Region – 511
    • Upper East Region – 282
    • Oti Region – 237
    • Upper West Region – 90
    • Savannah Region – 62
    • North East Region – 19
