Felix Afena-Gyan Joins Amedspor on Season-Long Loan

The deal, which includes an option to buy, will see the 22-year-old striker spend the 2025/26 season in Turkey as he looks to reignite his career.

Amedspor, formerly known as Buyuksehir Belediyespor, confirmed the transfer on their official channels, expressing delight at securing the services of the promising attacker.

Afena-Gyan first rose to prominence in November 2021 when he announced himself in Serie A with a sensational brace against Genoa on his AS Roma debut under Jose Mourinho.

His explosive performances quickly made him one of the most talked-about young forwards in Italian football.

However, after limited opportunities in the Roma first team, he moved to Cremonese, before spending last season on loan at Juventus Next Generation.

The switch to Amedspor presents a fresh chapter for Afena-Gyan, who will aim to rediscover his best form and establish himself as a key figure in Turkey’s second tier.

With his pace, power, and eye for goal, Amedspor fans will be hopeful the Ghanaian can play a decisive role in their promotion push.
