The Ghana National Fire Service has confirmed the death of two people following a road accident involving a DAF truck with registration number AS-2626-S near Kintampo.

The victims, identified as the driver and his mate, were pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Kintampo Fire Station, a ten-member rescue team was dispatched after a distress call was received.

The operation, led by Assistant Divisional Officer Grade II Muriya Gordon, successfully retrieved the bodies from the wreckage, after which they were handed over to the Ghana Police Service for further procedures.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash, while the fire service has reiterated its commitment to rapid emergency response and continued public education on road safety
