Ghanaian poet Koo Kumi returns with interlude – A fusion of words, art, and emotion

Ghanaian spoken word artist Koo Kumi is set to host his poetry show, Interlude, at Beehive Osu on 28th September 2024.

Interlude promises a night of intimate performances of spoken word and music and a two-day art exhibition by Kafui Amediku and Nana Frema.

Interlude will delve into themes close to Koo Kumi’s heart, including Masculinity and Fatherhood, Therapy and Mental Health, Love, and Celebrations. Known for his ability to turn personal reflections into universal narratives, Koo Kumi is set to offer audiences a rich and thought-provoking evening.

His albums, An Ode to A New Moon, Woke On the Mountain and The Griot, have cemented his reputation as one of Ghana’s most insightful and evocative voices in spoken word poetry.

Koo Kumi, celebrated for his emotive and thought-provoking performances, will deliver a poetic experience that draws inspiration from his journey. With a reputation for blending poignant themes of life and society, he has three albums to his name, Woke On the Mountain and The Griot, both of which have resonated with audiences across the continent and beyond.
