The Ministry of Health has announced the start of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, effective April 16, 2026, following the approval of financial clearance.
In a statement issued on April 2 and signed by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the Ministry indicated that the recruitment process will be decentralised and carried out at the district level, based on verified vacancies. The exercise will be competitive, transparent, and guided by an approved quota system covering all professional categories and year groups.
The Ministry emphasised that all recruitments will be conducted within approved budget limits and advised qualified health professionals to monitor official Ministry and district health administration platforms for vacancy announcements and application procedures.
Applicants have also been encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation and credentials ahead of the rollout.
The financial clearance for the recruitment is valid until December 31, 2026, within which all hiring processes must be completed.
The Ministry further urged eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to improving healthcare delivery across the country.
