Ghanaian gospel musician Brother Sammy says the youth from the street should be shown love and must not be marginalized in churches.

In a recent viral video, Broda Sammy was seen shooting a gospel drill music video with “persons from the ghetto,” which has sparked conversations on social media.

According to Broda Sammy, people from the “Ghetto” are frequently treated awkwardly, especially when attending church services, because society perceives them as aberrant.

In an interview with GNA Entertainment, Broda Sammy highlighted how such people are frequently mistreated by some pastors and followers, emphasising that such unfriendly treatment must stop.

“The Lord is not a one-way God. Because of how some pastors treat ‘street’ people, they feel shy to attend church service to hear the gospel of the Lord.

“My aim is to take the gospel to the streets, so that people who have tattooed themselves or multiple piercings will not be sidelined. I want to get closer to them and tell them it is because of them that Jesus came,” he said.

The outspoken gospel musician has been in the news recently after making remarks that activities like staking bets, eating pork, and getting piercings were not sinful.

He is currently promoting his new single “Ebebam,” which has received massive airplay and impressive streaming numbers.
