The Ministry of the Interior has cautioned individuals applying for recruitment to be alert and avoid fraudulent payment requests, emphasizing that no applicant will be asked to send money to any mobile money number during the screening process.

In a statement issued on Monday, March 23, the Ministry advised applicants to disregard any messages requesting payment for medical screening, noting that such demands are not part of the official procedure.

It also clarified that SMS notifications for the medical screening stage have not yet been sent. According to the Ministry, official messages will only be issued between March 29 and March 31, 2026, ahead of the nationwide screening exercise set to begin on April 7, 2026.

To promote transparency, the Ministry indicated that all legitimate messages will come from the authorized sender ID, CSERP. Applicants are encouraged to verify the authenticity of any communication before taking action.

Additionally, shortlisted candidates will see their application status change from “Qualified” to “MEDICAL SCREENING” on the recruitment portal once official notifications are released. Only after confirming this update should they proceed with payments via the secure online system on the portal.

The Ministry reiterated that no payments should be made outside the official platform and urged applicants to report any suspected fraud through its designated email address: recruitment@mint.gov.gh
