Mobile telecommunication, MTN have suspended the decision to increase Mobile Money fees.

The decision, which will see a 1% charge on transactions up to GH¢2,000 and a flat rate of GH¢20 for transactions above,  was to take effect from Saturday, July 1.

But the telecommunication giants say the decision has been put on hold indefinitely.

“The panned review of cash-out fees for MoMo, scheduled for July 1, 2023, has been put on hold until further notice,” MTN Ghana said on Monday, June 26.

“The current cash out fee of GH¢10 still applies and will be charged to your wallet.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Just MoMo it.”
