Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist Nana Agradaa, born Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, has been released from Nsawam Prison after serving eight months in custody.
She has reunited with her husband and family, with her husband confirming her return in a Facebook post on March 3, stating that he was grateful she was finally home. She is also expected to meet members of her church later in the day, marking her first public appearance since her release.
Nana Agradaa was originally sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement. However, the Amasaman High Court later reviewed the case and reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the initial punishment as excessive.
Her release follows Ghana’s remission policy, under which eligible inmates serve two-thirds of their sentence.
