    Osabarimba Royal Awards comes off February 15

    More than 40 businesses, individuals and associations have been nominated for honors at the fifth edition of the Osabarimba Royal Awards for their distinguished contributions to the development and progress of the ancient city of Cape Coast.

    The awards, scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025, will recognize contributions to various sectors including Tourism & Hospitality, Business & Finance, Trade & Industry, Fashion & Media, Beverage, Education, Health, Religion, and Entertainment. The ceremony will be a grand durbar of royalty, tradition, and prestige at the Emintsimadze Palace, the seat of the Oguaamanhen, bringing together a diverse audience, including traditional leaders, technocrats, business moguls, governmental and non-governmental organisations, and alumni associations.

    The Osabarimba Royal Awards, an initiative of the Cape Coast Traditional Council and the Ridge Royal Hotel, has become a platform to celebrate excellence, promote the unique identity of Cape Coast, and inspire continuous efforts towards the development of Oguaaman. The event is also an avenue for networking for major industry players in Cape Coast while promoting initiatives, with indigenes projecting a positive image of Oguaaman.

    According to Nana Obiri Aduama I, Nkodohene of Oguaa Traditional Area,  this year’s milestone event promised to be a memorable occasion, filled with inspiration, celebration, and a better hope for the future, as it coincides with the maiden launch of the “Kotokuraba Magazine”, a publication that promotes businesses and highlights the potentials of Cape Coast.

    “Indeed, it promises unprecedented excitements and will feature live band music and cultural displays to showcase the rich heritage of Cape Coast,” Nana Aduama who is also the General Manager of Ridge Royal Hotel stated. It will also be characterized by electrifying performances by renowned artists and talented individuals as well as exclusive photo shoots and interviews. Some lucky individuals who will participate in an exciting raffle draw will go home with amazing prizes.
