Pastor Robert Lugushie, the Bono Regional Youth Coordinator of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has urged churches to prioritise the spiritual development of the nation’s youth, by moulding and building of their future on sound and unadulterated values, principles and teachings of the Bible.
He said the churches ought to do more in this regard as it remained the surest way to give the youth a secured future for their prosperity.
Pastor Lugushie gave the advice at a meeting with youth leaders of the church in Sunyani, urging them to strive and impact their peers in the church with the true doctrines of the Bible. The meeting was attended by youth leaders drawn from the various divisions of the church and offered them an opportunity to review their activities in 2024 and plan for 2025.
As the future leaders who would grow to occupy enviable and responsible positions in the church, “a youth without solid biblical foundation would not only fail the church but also the nation by extension,” he said.
Pastor Lugushie encouraged the youth leaders to get closer to their peers, inspiring them to always participate in the churche’s ‘Youth Impact’ segment of the Global Crusade Kumuyi (GCK), which was a monthly evangelistic programme.
He explained that the GCK was a monthly global evangelistic programme being undertaken by Pastor William F. Kumuyi, the Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM). The programme was an initiative that offered opportunity for the Dr Kumuyi to reach out to thousands of people with the gospel via internet, he said.
Pastor Lugushie further urged the participants to also encourage the youth to participate in the church’s ‘Home Caring Fellowship” another spiritual programme that offered an opportunity for the youth to gather at locations outside the church buildings, to worship and listen to the word of God.
He said the fellowship remained the strong pillar upon which the Deeper Life Church was founded and urged parents and guardians to allow their children to attend the fellowship mostly held on Sunday evenings to help build them up in faith.
