In a monumental achievement for Ghanaian music and African hip-hop, rap icon Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie, has officially sold out the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London ahead of his flagship Rapperholic UK Edition concert.
Scheduled for March 6, 2026 perfectly timed to coincide with Ghana’s 69th Independence Day the event has seen all 5,272 seats (with potential for up to ~5,900 including standing) snapped up in record time, just days after tickets went on sale. This marks Sarkodie as the first African rapper to headline and sell out this historic, world-renowned venue, solidifying his status as a global force in music and a proud ambassador for Ghanaian excellence.
Sarkodie himself broke the exciting news with pure gratitude and energy:
It’s official! SOLD OUT ! Big up uk 🇬🇧 you guys gassed me up… You guys did this! see yall 6th march at the @RoyalAlbertHall #RapperholicUk26 pic.twitter.com/7G13Om0qqy

The announcement exploded across social media, with fans, media, and industry voices hailing it as a massive win for the diaspora and proof of Sarkodie’s enduring star power. From filling arenas like the Indigo O2 to now conquering one of the world’s most prestigious halls, this is clear progression and many are already eyeing the next big leap, like the O2 Arena.
The Rapperholic brand, which started as a local staple in Ghana back in 2013, has evolved into a global cultural movement. This UK edition promises a career-spanning setlist, special guests, strong female representation, and electric vibes to celebrate Ghanaian pride on an international stage.
As one fan put it: “Sarkodie is writing his name into the future generations.“
With the show just weeks away (tickets are gone, but the hype is real!), expect this to be one of the biggest African music moments of 2026. Sarkodie continues to prove why he’s called the Landlord owning every stage he steps on.
Big congrats to SarkNation and the UK crew for making this happen.
