The District Chief Executive for Shai Osudoku, Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, has presented newly acquired pick-up vehicles to the District Assembly to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

The handover took place during a short ceremony on April 27, 2026, at the Assembly’s forecourt, where the vehicles were officially received by the District Coordinating Director for onward management by the transport unit.

Mr Dordoe explained that the vehicles have not yet been allocated to specific departments as they are currently undergoing insurance processing. He assured that once completed, they will be deployed to support key functions such as revenue collection, sanitation supervision, project monitoring, and emergency response.

He emphasized that the vehicles are strictly for official use and cautioned against any form of misuse, urging department heads to ensure proper maintenance and adherence to transport policies.

The District Coordinating Director, who received the vehicles on behalf of the Assembly, expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the addition will help ease mobility constraints faced by staff.

Mr Dordoe reiterated his commitment to equipping the Assembly with the necessary resources to improve efficiency and strengthen local governance. Deployment of the vehicles is expected once insurance formalities are finalised.
