Shatta Wale secured this nomination after he was featured in Beyonce’s ‘Already’, which forms part of her Black is King visual album.

The video ‘Already’ was chosen for Best Art Direction.

It goes against Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bad Habits’, Lady Gaga’s ‘911’, Lil Nas X’s ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ Saweetie and Doja Cat’s ‘Best Friend’ and Taylor Swift’s ‘Willow’ for the award.

‘Already’ is a song off Beyonce’s The Lion King: The Gift album, released to celebrate the live-action film of the 1994 animation The Lion King.

In 2020 a year after its release, Beyonce released the Black is King visual album which featured the visuals for ‘Already’.
