    Sunyani West Assembly confirmed Asante Boateng as MCE

    Mr Asante Boateng, a legal practitioner and the President’s nominee has been approved as the Sunyani West Municipal Chief Executive.In an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Odomase, the Municipal capital, Mr Boateng secured 100 percent ‘yes’ votes from the 54-member assembly.The Assembly also elected Mr Dognekoh Atta Kwasi Snr as the Presiding Member, securing 54 ‘yes’ votes, representing 94.7 percent.

    In his acceptance speech Mr Boateng said he would foster collaboration towards facilitating the holistic development of the municipality, pledging to operate an open-door administration.Mr Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister congratulated the MCE for the position and called for unity and social cohesion among the people, urging everybody to support the President John Dramani Mahama;s reset Ghana agenda.

    Justice Gabriel Martey-Teye, a Supervising High Court Judge in Sunyani took the MCE through the oaths of office, allegiance, and secrecy.
