At an anniversary event, Tropical Cable & Conductor Ltd. celebrated 25 years of business as one of Africa’s top manufacturers of electrical cables.
The 25th anniversary event, with the theme “25 Years of Impacting Ghana: New Ideas, New Products, New Markets,” was graced by the presence of H.E. Alhaji, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Traditional chiefs, and numerous business executives.
The Executive Chairman of TCCL, Dr. Tony Oteng-Gyasi, remarked during the occasion held at the company’s headquarters in Tema on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, “TCCL is proud of and appreciative for its exceptional performance as a vital partner in the energy transmission and distribution industry across Africa.”
“Since its founding in 1997, Tropical Cable and Conductor Ltd. has made remarkable strides toward becoming an industrial juggernaut in Africa, producing electrical cables and conductors of the highest caliber for domestic and export markets.
We have employed the greatest people and material resources throughout the years to successfully manufacture and market cables and conductors of the highest caliber.
With a leading position in West Africa, we are extremely happy to be a valued partner in Africa’s energy transmission and distribution business.

TCCL is a renowned Ghanaian business that has developed its production capacity over the years to handle more than 8,000 tonnes of aluminum, copper, and PVC each year. They consistently assure that their cables are FLAME RETARDANT, LOW SMOKE, and LEAD-FREE, which supports the maintenance of uninterrupted and dependable power distribution to industry and the built environment. This makes them unique in their field.

It is also the only cable producer to have invested in a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounding facility, which sells to other cable makers in Ghana and the rest of Africa in addition to providing its production process. Additionally, it is the sole producer of aluminum rods in West Africa and exports them.
