The President of Ghana, H. E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, in addressing the nation for the 14th time on measures being taken by the government to handle the coronavirus pandemic in the country eased some restrictions on the transport sector.
In his address last night, the president indicated that trotro’s, taxis, buses, airplanes and all other forms of domestic transport can now operate in their full capacity but ensuring the adherence to wearing of the face masks and maintenance of the enhanced hygiene protocols remains mandatory.
“The government has taken the decision to lift the restrictions in the transport sector and allow for full capacity in our domestic airplanes, taxis, trotros and buses,” President Akufo-Addo told the nation.
He furthered stated that the air, sea and land borders remain closed until further notice however, some arrangement are being made for the evacuation of stranded Ghanaians abroad.
