    UEW-DESA President urges freshers to make use of online resources

    Mr Worlanyo Afeku, President, Distance Education Student Association (DESA), University of Education, Winneba has urged fresh men and women of the University to take advantage of the institution’s online resources to achieve academic excellence.

    He asked them to set achievable goals, participate in discussions and engage with their peers to enhance their learning experience.

    Mr. Afeku who said this in a speech read on his behalf during orientation of freshers in Ho noted that he was committed to ensuring that the fresh men and women have a fulfilling and engaging experience, despite the physical distance.

    He said the National Executive Committee had plans in place including various online events, webinars, and activities to help the freshers connect with their peers, access resources, and stay updated on important announcements.

    The President advised them to regularly check their emails, online portals, and social media groups for updates, and should not hesitate to reach out to the DESA team, academic advisors, or technical support staff whenever they needed assistance.

    “I’m excited to welcome you to the Distance Education Students Association-UEW (DESA)! As you embark on this unique learning journey, I want to assure you that you’re part of a vibrant community that’s here to support you every step of the way,” he said.
