The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has signed a GH¢150,000 headline sponsorship agreement with Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works to support the 2025/2026 Division Two League season.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed on Friday at the Association’s Secretariat in Ho by Mr. Daniel Agbogah, Chairman of the VRFA, and Mr. Martin Davidson, Chief Executive Officer of Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works.

The sponsorship represents a major boost for football growth and talent development across the Volta and Oti regions.

Expressing appreciation, Mr. Agbogah described the partnership as both timely and transformative. “This sponsorship is a game changer. Our football faces numerous challenges that demand sustained investment and resources, and this support comes at a crucial moment,” he said.

He assured that the funds would be used judiciously to promote football in the regions, adding that participation fees would remain unchanged for the upcoming season.

Mr. Davidson, on his part, commended the VRFA for its efforts in improving football administration and nurturing young talent, noting that the company was proud to be associated with the region’s sporting progress.

The deal underscores growing private-sector support for grassroots football and marks a positive step toward strengthening the region’s sports infrastructure and competitiveness.
