The head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, is upbeat ahead of his team’s clash against Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.

The Kpando-based club will lock horns with the struggling Royals on Sunday, April 27, in a Week 29 encounter of the 2024/25 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Coach Bashir Hayford revealed that his team has prepared well and expects to earn all three points from the upcoming game.

“This time around, we asked the boys to rest a little. They are all back, and we are preparing for the game on Sunday. We are expecting a win. We have to make sure we get some points because life at the top is not easy. We have done well, but we are striving to go higher,” Coach Bashir Hayford said.

With 47 points after 28 games in the league campaign, Heart of Lions are third in the Ghana Premier League standings.

A win against Legon Cities FC would improve the team’s chances of winning the league title, especially if results from other matches go their way.
