The 9th edition of the WIWIK Summit is to take place at the R.S AMEGASHIE HALL in the University of Ghana on the 21st of July, 2023 at 2pm.
This year’s What I Wish I Knew (WIWIK) Summit themed “Thriving in uncertainty- A conversation on Intrapreneurship and Entrepreneurship ” promises to be fun and educative.
The Summit will have experts to educate on the roadmap for career development and employability skills.
Some of the experts are Hannah Ashiokai Akrong
(Resources Director, Vodafone Ghana), Mr. John Dumelo (Politician & Entrepreneur), Prince Kofi Amoabeng (President, UT Holdings).
Background
What I Wish I Knew (WIWIK) summit was founded by Bernard Tawiah, during his final year in University of Cape Coast (UCC), sping 2015. He was inspired to share his experience of undergraduate study with his colleague students at UCC, and so he decided to apply what is now known as the WIWIK concept.
WIWIK Foundation is a company limited by guarantee and a Not-for-Proft organization. It was established with the objective of developing the Human Capital needs in Ghana. The foundation currently actively engages Undergraduate students through its annual flagship conference; What I Wish I Knew Conference. Until July 2018 when it extended its operations to Accra, most of the foundation’s activities have been organized in Cape Coast.
What I Wish I Knew “WIWIK” summit is an annual adivisory forum focused on career developement and employablility skills for final year students in the tertiary institutions to inform and provide a roadmap for them as they prepare to enter into the job market.
Currently, the WIWIK summit is by far the most active human capacity development machinery of WIWIK Foundation. The conference has been held 8 timees since its inception and plans are advanced for the 9th edition to be held in the year 2023.
