Ghanaian artiste Daniel Morris Nyarko known in showbiz as Wutah Kobby has put together a song that seeks to advise Ghanaians to ensure peaceful elections in December.
While some showbiz personalities have publicly come out to lend support to certain political parties through campaign songs and speeches, the former Wutah member would rather want to do a song which binds the various factions.
The song, ‘Ghana Man Mma Pa’ talks about the need for Ghanaians to love each other irrespective of differences in political ideologies.
According to him, it is important for Ghanaians to realise the value of people and act in a way that does not put that treasure in jeopardy.
Ghana will be going to the polls on December 7, 2020, to elect the next President and members of parliament.
Twelve people have qualified to contest for the seat of the Presidency.
They include President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), former President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Ms Brigitte Dzogbenuku of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP).
The rest are Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Mr Christian Kwabena Andrews of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Mr Asiedu Walker, an independent candidate; Mr Hassan Ayariga of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mr David Apasera of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and Mr Henry Herbert Lartey of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP).
