Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has officially inaugurated an eleven-member Ministerial Oversight Committee tasked with supervising Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During the ceremony, Mr. Debrah delivered a firm message, cautioning members to uphold the highest standards of integrity and avoid any conduct that could tarnish Ghana’s image globally.
The establishment of the committee marks a significant step in ensuring that Ghana’s participation in the upcoming World Cup is well-coordinated and meets international expectations. The team has been mandated to:

Provide strategic direction for the national contingent,

Ensure adherence to all international regulations and standards,

Oversee every aspect of Ghana’s preparation ahead of the tournament.
Mr. Debrah urged the committee to show unwavering commitment, accountability, and diligence in carrying out their duties.
Membership of the committee comprises representatives from major government ministries, security agencies, and football administration, bringing together a mix of political leadership and technical expertise to support Ghana’s World Cup agenda.
