Dubai Chambers has held high-level discussions with key economic and trade institutions in Ghana to strengthen bilateral trade, investment cooperation, and private-sector partnerships between Ghana and Dubai.
The engagements in Accra involved meetings with the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana.
The delegation was led by Salem AlShamsi as part of a broader trade mission to Ghana and Ethiopia aimed at identifying new business opportunities and expanding Dubai-based companies into African markets.
Discussions with the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by President Stéphane Miezan, focused on enhancing cooperation between business communities, boosting bilateral trade, and expanding joint investment in key sectors.
At the meeting with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, led by CEO Simon Madjie, both sides explored opportunities for cross-sector investment and strategies to improve capital flows between Ghana and Dubai.
A separate engagement with the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana, represented by Executive Secretary Asaki Awingobit, focused on strengthening trade relationships and improving direct business-to-business collaboration.
The discussions highlight Dubai’s increasing interest in Ghana as a gateway to West Africa’s investment landscape, while also positioning Ghanaian businesses to benefit from expanded export access, logistics partnerships, and foreign investment opportunities.
Both sides say the engagements form part of broader efforts to deepen economic ties, although stakeholders note that the real impact will depend on how quickly these talks translate into tangible business deals and investments.
