A major labour opportunity may be emerging for skilled Ghanaians.
Officials from the United States Virgin Islands say they are looking to recruit nurses, teachers and construction workers as part of a wider push to meet labour needs tied to major development projects in the territory.
During a television interview in Ghana, members of the visiting delegation said the U.S. Virgin Islands has a pressing need for professionals in key sectors and intends to discuss those needs with Ghanaian authorities during the visit.

The delegation linked that demand to large-scale rebuilding and development efforts, including housing, hospitals, schools and infrastructure projects. For Ghanaian professionals and service providers, the talks could open up new pathways for work, exchange and cross-border collaboration.
The labour conversation is expected to be one of the most closely watched parts of the mission, particularly as Ghana continues to explore new international opportunities for its skilled workforce.
If formal agreements emerge from the discussions, the Ghana-USVI partnership could grow beyond trade and tourism into direct workforce mobility and institutional cooperation.
