Accra Lilies showcased brilliant skills and abilities to defeat Accra Daisies at this year’s Easter Cricket Games held at the Achimota Cricket Oval in Accra.

The competition, which attracted hundreds of cricket lovers, was a curtain raiser for the T20 series tournament scheduled for May 2025.

As part of making the game evenly poised and exciting moments, both teams were represented by five males and six females each.

Team Daisies won the toss for the day and opted to bat first with no hesitation.

The Lilies made the most of the opportunity presented and put up a reasonable total of 110 runs for loss of four wickets in 20 overs.

In reply, Accra Daisies could only manage 58 runs all out in 15 overs which served as an advantage for Accra Lilies who won convincingly by 52 runs.

Elizabeth Annor, captain of Accra Lilies speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports said she was impressed with the performance of her side despite facing a tough opponent.

“We had wanted to field first but lost the toss and were put in to bat. It eventually worked out well in our favour as we put up a competitive total which proved to be a big task for our opponents,” She said.

The two teams would face off once again in the forthcoming T20 series next month.
