The Women’s Ministry of the Emmanuel Assembly of the Church of Pentecost at Ahensan, has donated food and other assorted items to children of the All Nations Charity Home at Ayigya, in the Oforikrom Municipality.

The gesture was to help support the upkeep of these vulnerable children at the orphanage.

Among the items were bags of rice, maize, plantain, cooking oil, tomatoes, noodles, and sanitary pads.

Deaconess Mary Amoako, Leader of the Women’s Ministry, speaking at the ceremony, said the gesture was to help ease the burden of feeding the children at the Home.

It also formed part of the broader mission of the church to support the needy and fulfill the biblical mandate of helping the vulnerable in society.

Deaconess Amoako emphasized the need for Christians to always respond to the needs of vulnerable people and support them.

She said it was the duty of every Christian to lend a helping hand to those in need, adding that many people in society depended on such donations to live a normal life.

Pastor Philip Akwasi Nyamekye, Founder of the Home, thanked members of the women’s ministry for the gesture and said it was a timely support to the Home.

He said donations such as those were critical in ensuring the smooth running of the home to support the children who were in need.

He called on other individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the Home since it needed the generous support of all to ensure a comfortable home for the children.
