WPP Scangroup PLC has appointed Ghanaian marketing executive Brayie Akua Owusu-Nartey as its new Group Chief Executive Officer and CEO of Ogilvy Africa, effective November 17, 2025. The announcement marks a significant leadership transition for one of Africa’s largest and most influential marketing and communications networks.

“The Board is confident that the company will benefit from her skills, knowledge, extensive leadership experience, and industry expertise,” the statement said.

With over 18 years of experience spanning Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia, Owusu-Nartey has earned a solid reputation in integrated communications, brand transformation, and business growth. She is celebrated for her results-oriented leadership and ability to revitalize underperforming businesses.

Before her appointment, she held senior leadership positions within WPP Scangroup, Ogilvy Africa, and Publicis West Africa, where she led cross-functional teams and championed client-focused innovation.

Owusu-Nartey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Central University College, Ghana, and an Executive MBA from Hult International Business School, UK.

Her appointment underscores WPP Scangroup’s commitment to leadership excellence and reflects the growing prominence of African women in top corporate roles. As Group CEO, she is expected to drive strategic growth, digital transformation, and talent development across the company’s regional network.

WPP PLC, headquartered in London, remains the world’s largest advertising and public relations company by revenue, operating across communications, experience, commerce, and technology.
