The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh, has congratulated Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his decisive victory in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries.

In a statement issued after the official declaration of the results, Hon. Annoh Dompreh described Dr. Bawumia’s win as a clear endorsement of his leadership, vision and long-standing commitment to the ideals of the NPP and the progress of Ghana.

According to him, the outcome of the primaries reflects the confidence party delegates have in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead the party and the nation into the future. He noted that the Vice President’s consistency, integrity and forward-looking vision resonated strongly with both the grassroots and the leadership of the party.

Hon. Annoh Dompreh also commended the other candidates who contested the primaries, stating that their participation and spirited campaigns enriched internal party democracy and strengthened the NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections. He said the maturity, discipline and unity displayed throughout the contest demonstrate the party’s readiness to “break the eight” and continue delivering development-oriented governance for Ghanaians.

The Majority Chief Whip urged party members across the country to rally behind Dr. Bawumia and work together to consolidate the party’s base while expanding its national appeal.

“Now is the time for unity and collective effort,” he said, adding that with Dr. Bawumia as the party’s flagbearer, the NPP must move forward as one strong and united party with a clear message of hope, innovation and inclusive development.
