Just one day after opening up about his personal battles, Ghanaian music star Article Wan has released a bold and inspiring new single titled “SPIRIT” on April 23, 2026.
The song arrives at a significant moment. On April 20, Article Wan shared a deeply emotional message on social media, revealing: “I have not been myself for some years now… It’s deeply spiritual and I can’t be mute at this moment, ’cause it’s way out of my control. Abeg, pray for me.”
The very next day, he followed it up with this thought-provoking quote that sets the tone for the new release:
“Spirituality isn’t all about negativity. It has positives too. People see things different from different angles. Turn 6 upside down and what do you see?”
Flipping the 6 to reveal a 9 serves as a clever metaphor reminding listeners that perspective can transform challenges into growth, and darkness into light.
“SPIRIT” is an energetic Afrobeats/Afro-Dancehall record that blends vibrant rhythms with motivational and soul-touching lyrics. Article Wandelivers an uplifting performance that feels both personal and universal. While the beat keeps the energy high and dancefloor-ready, the message encourages a balanced view of spirituality one that embraces the positive side instead of only focusing on fear or negativity.
Known for past hits like “Solo”, “That Thing” (feat. Patapaa), and “Ngege”, Article Wan has always brought emotion and versatility to his music. With “SPIRIT”, he appears to be channeling his recent experiences into something healing and empowering turning a difficult personal season into art that can inspire others.
