Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities have announced the appointment of Bashir Hayford as the new head coach of the club.

The news comes less than 24 hours after the Royals confirmed the sacking of Goran Barjaktarevic who was in charge of the club for just 11 months.

Legon Cities made impressive signings like former Black Stars Captain and Ghana’s all time top scorer Asamoah Gyan and goalkeeper Fatau Dauda ahead of the start on the 2020/2021 premier league season but   have not lived up to expectations as the team is yet to pick up a win after two games.

Coach Hayford with a lot of experience and a highly decorated CV will be tasked with restoring balance in a Legon Cities side as he signs a one year with the club.

The former Black Starlets have managed Premier league giants Asante Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs and knows how to get results in the premier league.

Coach Bashir Hayford is expected to lead the team when they face title contenders Medeama SC at the Accra Sport Stadium on Friday.
