Ghanaian rapper and singer Black Sherif has cemented his status as the country’s biggest musical force after sweeping the top spots in Spotify’s 2025 rankings.
Black Sherif was crowned Most Streamed Artiste of the Year and Top Artiste of the Year on Spotify Ghana, reaffirming his unmatched influence on the digital music landscape.
His 2024 album, “Iron Boy,” earned the title of Most Streamed Album of the Year, while its standout single, “Sacrifice,” became Spotify Ghana’s Most Streamed Song of 2025.
In an extraordinary achievement, nine out of the top ten most-streamed songs on Spotify Ghana this year belong to Black Sherif — a rare dominance in the country’s streaming history.
The star’s impact extended beyond Spotify. On Apple Music Ghana, songs from the Iron Boy album occupied the entire Top 12 spots on the 2025 year-end chart, with “Sacrifice” once again taking the No. 1 position. This feat makes Black Sherif the first Ghanaian artiste to achieve such comprehensive chart supremacy.
The historic accomplishment has sparked excitement among fans, many of whom are calling for the TGMA Artiste of the Year award to be given to him in recognition of his record-breaking year.
