    Black Stars’ budget will be made available- Kofi Adams assures

    GNA-Mr. Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, has pledged that the budget for the Black Stars and other national teams will be made available ahead of time.

    The Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency was criticized for failing to disclose the budget for Black Stars game against Chad and Madagascar as promised by the President of the Republic John Dramani Mahama.

    Speaking at a news conference in Accra, the Minister has stated that his ministry would uphold transparency in the management of resources for Black Stars and other national teams.He said, “I know this has been a matter of concern for many of you about the cost of supporting the national teams, and we made a promise that we’re going to keep you updated and we will be publishing the detail.

    “We are not going to keep that away and we are not going to say because of audit purposes we won’t publish it, we are still mobilizing resources and paying the things that we must be pay.

    Veteran Ghanaian Footballer, Abedi Pele commended the Minister for engaging with ex-footballers.He said, “I’m grateful that I have seen the minister today and we had a long chat concerning the black stars and the development of football in the country.
