Ghana Black Stars Captain, Andre Dede Ayew says the team has not had best of preparations ahead of the AFCON qualifier against Sudan.

However, he is confident that the team can take all maximum points. The black stars began preparations on Monday without the full complement of the team, some of whom later joined the squad in Cape Coast on Wednesday due to delays in players leaving their various clubs.

On the other hand, their opponents Sudan, have had adequate preparations for the match as most of their players are home-based.

Speaking ahead of the game, the captain says the team is eager to get a good result against the North-African side, despite not having adequate preparations.

He added that, “ it’s not been the best of preparation because we did not have the full squad early enough for the coach to do whatever he wanted to do”. We are at home and when we are at home, there is only one thing in mind and that is to get all three points and we will do everything possible to get that’’

Nevertheless, the full squad is already in Cape Coast to host Sudan.

Meanwhile, Coach CK Akonnor is expected to prove his capability of ending the over thirty (30) years trophy drought with his team.

The black stars play against Sudan later today in an empty Cape Coast stadium and travel to  Khartoum and then on Tuesday for the reverse fixture.
