DBS Industries Limited, a leading roofing and construction company, has supported the renovation of the pergola project at the Sunyani Central Prisons canteen, providing roofing materials and technical assistance for the facility.

The renovated pergola, which serves as a VIP lounge and shaded seating area for visitors and officers, enhances comfort and adds aesthetic value to the canteen environment.

At the handing-over ceremony, Mrs. Paulina Sarpong, Sunyani Branch Manager of DBS Industries Limited, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), noting that supporting public institutions remains a key part of its mission.

“As part of our CSR initiatives, we are proud to contribute towards improving facilities at the central prisons,” she said.

The Chief Superintendent of Prisons (CSP) Emmanuel Yeboah Afful expressed appreciation to DBS Industries for the gesture, emphasizing that the project not only beautifies the facility but also improves the welfare of officers and visitors.

He added that the renovation aligns with the “Think Prisons 360 Degrees” initiative, which seeks to promote rebranding and enhance officers’ welfare through improved infrastructure and internally generated projects like the prison canteen.
