Fugees to reunite for a world tour for the first time in 15years

For the first time in 15 years and 25 years after the Score album, Ms Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Micheal (Fugees) will reunite for a world tour. Countries on the lineup include Ghana on the 18th of December, 2021.

Fugees would be celebrating their 25th anniversary after the release of their classic album, The Score. And as befitting the occasion, the hip-hop musical trio would be performing together on the world stage across the United States, London, Paris, Ghana and Nigerian in November and December of this year.

Fugees notably for their singles, ‘Killing Me Softly’, and ‘Ready or Not, of The Score album in 1996. Despite their wildly successful career, they spilt up in 2006, allegedly due to the romantic relationship between Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean turning sour.

In a press release as reported by Pitchfork, Ms Lauryn Hill said, “The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I decided to honour this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform, the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

As I celebrate 25years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music, we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the unheard. And in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together,” Wyclef Jean added.
