Ghana has concluded its seventh bilateral debt restructuring deal, this time with the Czech Republic.

The agreement was formalised today by Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, and René Jakl, Director of the Claims and Recoveries Department at the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation (EGAP), who signed on behalf of the Czech Republic.

Dr. Forson expressed Ghana’s gratitude to the Czech government and its people, emphasising that the long-standing partnership between the two countries continues to grow stronger.

René Jakl described the signing as the start of a renewed phase of cooperation, signalling opportunities for further collaboration and support.

The ceremony was attended by the Czech Ambassador to Ghana, Pavel Bílek, together with officials from the Ministry of Finance.
