An impressive performance from the porcupine ensured a first home defeat of the season for Karela United.
Karela boasted a 100 per cent record coming into the clash with six wins out of six games but suffered a 2-0 defeat thanks to goals from Imoro Ibrahim and Kwame Poku at the Crosby Awuah Memorial park in Ayinase.
The win sends Kotoko top of the league for the first time this season while Karela, who were leaders before kickoff, drop to third.
The Porcupine Warriors did not make a great start and had goalkeeper Razak Abalora to thank for making some great saves and not conceding.
They recovered and took the lead few minutes to halftime through a former Karela player, Ibrahim Imoro, who fired a low driven shot into the net.
