The magnificent San Siro will host the second leg of Inter Milan’s Champions League tie against Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The tie stands at 3-3 following a six-goal thriller in Barcelona last Wednesday. Having led twice at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Inter will believe they can finish the job at home against the Spanish league leaders.

Inter vs Barcelona predictions
After last week’s 3-3 draw in the first leg in Spain, we are all hoping for a repeat in Italy tonight.
The first leg didn’t take long to come to life. Marcus Thuram gave Inter the lead inside 30 seconds with an outrageous flick past Wojciech Szczesny. The Italians then doubled their lead with a spectacular Denzel Dumfries overhead kick after 21 minutes.
That was the cue for Barcelona to get their act together. The comeback was started by a mesmerising run and goal by Lamine Yamal on 24 minutes. Ferran Torres then leveled the match, slotting home from close range, after a chance was laid on a plate for him by Raphinha.
Dumfries then restored Inter’s lead with a header from a corner on 63 minutes. The Nerazzurri’s lead didn’t last long. Just two minutes later the inspirational Raphinha crashed a long range effort onto the bar, which bounced down and hit the unlucky Sommer on the back and deflected into the Inter goal.
The unfortunate own goal concluded the scoring, but it wasn’t an end to the action, with both sides wasting opportunities late on to take a first leg lead.
Despite picking teams with the second leg in mind, both teams managed to secure wins domestically at the weekend.
Inter remained second in Serie A after a 1-0 win over Verona. Barcelona retained their four-point lead at the top of La Liga thanks to a 2-1 win away at Valladolid.
Inter vs Barcelona betting tips
Despite going into the home leg level, Inter Milan are not the favourites to win the tie and qualify. The bookies still favour Barcelona, who are 4/5 to make the final. Inter are 19/20.
Barca are also the favourites in the 90 minutes betting at 29/20, with Inter at 13/8. Our Inter vs Barcelona betting tips follow:
Barcelona to win
The first leg of the tie caught us out. We did expect both teams to score, but no one predicted the six-goal thriller we were treated to.
Barcelona look the stronger team of the two. The Catalans are 4/5 to qualify for the final. If you think the match may be decided in extra-time or on penalties, that might be the safer bet.
We are backing Hansi Flick’s team to win in the 90 minutes. It’s rare to get such good odds on a Barca win, so we are taking it while it’s on offer.
Lamine Yamal to score or assist
The man (if we can call him that at his tender age) of the moment is Lamine Yamal.
Already regarded as an up-and-coming superstar, the 17-year-old further enhanced his reputation with a stunning goal and performance in last Wednesday’s first leg.
Such was the quality of Yamal’s performance, comparisons with Lionel Messi went through the roof.
Yamal is fast becoming the story of this season’s Champions League. He is finishing the season strongly. Back him to have an impact again in the second leg.
Denzel Dumfries 1+ shot on target
Denzel Dumfries was outstanding in the first leg against Barcelona. The Dutchman scored twice for Inter from his wingback role and his pace was a constant threat to Barcelona.
As we witnessed during the match in Spain, Barcelona played a very high line. It’s unlikely that Hansi Flick will change tactics too much in the second leg, as this is just how his team plays.
Dumfries will get chances to run in behind the Barcelona defense and we believe he is worth backing to hit the target at least once against the Catalans.
