    NDC wins 23 out of 26 seats in Western and Western North Regions.

    The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made a tremendous move in the Western Region   by winning 15 out of 17 seats   in the December 7 polls.

    Apart from the Prestea Huni-valley and the Takoradi constituencies that were won by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) the rest of the 15 constituencies were taken by the NDC

    The five NDC women who contested in the election all won their seats, while one out of the three women who contested on the ticket of the NPP won her seat.

    The Sekondi constituency was taken by Mr Nyameke Armah for the first time for the NDC, with Mr Majeed Dokurugu taking the Effia seat.

    Mr Fiifi Buckman won the Kwesimintsim seat with Mr Kofi Bentil taking the Mpohor seat, while the Ahanta West seat went to Mrs Mavis Bissue and Mr Isaac Adjei-Mensah retaining the Wassa East seat.

    The Tarkwa -Nsuaem seat was taken over by Mr Issah Salif Taylor with Mr Nicholas Amankwah taking the Amenfi East seat.

    Mrs Joana Guan Cudjoe took the Amenfi central seat with Mr Emmanuel Kofi Buah Armah taking the Ellembelle seat while, Mr Kofi Arko Nokoe breaking the record to retain the Evalue Ajomoro-Gwira seat, while Mrs Dorcas Afo-Toffey also retained the Jomoro seat.

     Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah took the Essikado-Ketan seat as the NDC had to wait for two decades with Mrs Emelia Arthur winning the Shama seat.

    In the Western North region, apart from the Suaman constituency which was won by the New Patriotic Party Mr Fredrick Addy the remaining eight seats were taken by the NDC

    The Bia East seat was won by Mr Richard Acheampong, while Mr Mustapha Amadu Tanko took the Bia West Seat, with Mr Kofi Afful Benteh winning the Sefwi-Wiawso seat.

    The Bodi seat was won by Mr Sampson Ahi with Mr Kwabena Minta Akandoh picked the Juaboso seat.

    Mr Pius Nkuah took the Sefwi-Akontombra seat with Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo taking the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai seat   after two decades wait while, the Aowin seat was won by Mr Oscar O. Larbi
