    Nmai Dzorn residents benefit from Thelma Odonkor foundation

    The Thelma Odonkor Foundation in its quest to impact the lives of residents of Nmai Dzorn, a town in the Adentan Municipality in the Greater Accra Region has organized a Health talk, Food, and Clothing Drive dubbed ” Healthy lives, Stronger families”.

    The program, which is the foundation’s maiden event for the year, was held at the Jordan Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Nmai Dzorn off the Kintso street in Accra.

    One of the speakers at the event, Lady Pastor Diana Koranteng, delivered a talk focusing on COVID-19 education and awareness. Some pointers raised were the nature and spread of the virus, its symptoms and effects on its victims.

    Also, she cautioned her listeners to keep adhering to the safety protocols (wearing of masks, handwashing, social distancing, etc) in order to protect themselves and their families.

    Meanwhile, there were counseling sessions where the beneficiaries had tête-à-tête conversations with some life coaches and counselors.

    Some items donated to members of the community include crates of eggs, drinks, hand sanitizers, clothes, motivational books and Bibles.

    In an exclusive interview with Myghanadaily, Minister of the Gospel at Harvest Chapel International, Reverend Thelma Odonkor who doubles as the founder of the Foundation said it was expedient that they touched lives in Honour of their Lord. “We always want to go out and save lives, to touch lives for the Lord and transform destinies for the Lord. ‘

    ‘Beyond impacting lives, it is important to share God’s blessings with the underprivileged as Jesus Christ did while he was alive, hence the reason for such a program,’ she added.

    Moreover, she described the collaboration with the Assemblyman for the area as a smooth one praising his efforts in organizing the program.

    Assemblyman of Nmai Dzorn, Honorable Ofei Albert Agyemang expressed appreciation to the foundation for their support to his community, especially education about the pandemic. He was hopeful that he would liaise with the organization to organize more of such programs for his community in coming years. .
