One person has died and five others have sustained injuries following a road crash at Asubuo on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, when a Kia Rhino collided with a MAN Diesel truck.
Firefighters from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station responded to the incident and rescued a person who was trapped inside the Kia Rhino.
The crew used extrication equipment to free the trapped casualty, who was subsequently transported to the Suhum Government Hospital for medical attention.
Five people sustained injuries in the crash, while a male pedestrian reportedly died after being knocked down during the incident.
Both vehicles were damaged in the collision.
The circumstances leading to the accident are currently under investigation.
